Synopsis:
The book Jane Eyre is the life story of Jane Eyre from her early years and her adult years. It starts off with Jane Eyre explaining her life in Gateshead Hall. She then is sent to boarding school called Lowood. She quickly makes friends with a young girl named Helen Burns. Spring comes and a sickness takes over the school and Helen Burns is infected with the disease. Jane comes to visit Helen and they fall asleep together and in the morning Jane while begin taken away, finds her best friend dead.
Eight years later Jane becomes a teacher in Lowood. Soon after Jane finds a job as a governess in Thornfield.
Odd things happen in Thornfield but then Jane's aunt calls her back to Gateshead before she dies. After her aunt's death, Jane returns to Thornfield.
When she returns to Thornfield, Mr. Rochester proclaims his love to Jane. During the wedding ceremony two men state that Mr. Rochester can not marry Jane since he is already married.
Jane goes to London and ends up living at Moor House.
Jane then returns to Thornfield just to find it destroyed from a fire and because of the fire Mr. Rochester loses his eye sight and a hand. Jane assures him that she still loves him and then they are married. Mr. Rochester regains enough sight to see their first born.
